Do You Provide A Written Agreement?
It is very important to confirm your booking in writing. At Sound Impressions, we will give you a contract that outlines the date of event, times, place of event, cancellation procedure, and provisions.
Are You Insured?
Be confident that the DJ you hire will show up for your affair! Insurance will give security & protection to you and your guests, as well as the DJ and his expensive gear. Sound Impressions is insured through G.A. Mavon & Company. A insurance binder is available to view upon request.
Do You Have Backup DJ's?
At Sound Impressions we have a total of 4 trained DJs in the event one of the DJs has an illness or emergency.
Is Your Equipment of Professional Quality?
There is a difference between home audio and professional road-worthy DJ equipment. The equipment a DJ uses should be built to go on the road each and every day! We use all of today's name brand DJ equipment such as Peavey, Wharfedale Pro, Numark, American DJ, Chauvet, etc.
 
Will You Listen To My Music Suggestions?
Many DJ's are of the opinion that they know what music is best for their audience and won't take requests. The DJ should listen to requests and play them whenever appropriate. Before the event, we will sit down and talk with you about what you want to hear and what you don't want to hear. We will also ask what you think your guests will want to hear. We play radio-edited versions of all songs.
Will You Dress Appropriately at My Affair?
At Sound Impressions, all of our DJs are required to where a black polo with Khaki pants to wedding receptions, anniversary dances, and corporate events. Themed events, outdoor parties, and picnics require a black or white polo with khaki pants. Our DJs will not show up in jeans and a t-shirt.
Will You Play The Music At An Appropriate Level?
The biggest concern voiced by prospective clients is the volume level of the music. The music will be kept at a low level during the meal portion of the event and progressively go up in volume during the coarse of the event at appropiate times.
Do You Do More Than Just Play Music at the Affair?
Most affairs involve more than playing music. It is important to have a DJ who is capable of playing the music, handling all of the announcements and helps to coordinate the affair. When we meet with a prospective client, we will let them decide how interactive they want the DJ to be.
